The Longhorn Thematic Literacy Course has been written to ease the teaching and learning of Literacy in Lower Primary. A lot of effort has been put into making sure that the material is simple, graphical and captivating, both for the learner who is receiving instruction from a teacher at school as well as one being guided by a parent or Guardian at home.

The Longhorn Thematic Literacy Course has been presented in six colourful books to create more room for illustrations, activities and exercises. Literacy 1 covers all themes that aim to introduce scientific knowledge to the learners, while Literacy 2 covers those themes that introduce learners to the world of social studies.

The Longhorn Thematic Literacy Course will assist learners in acquiring listening, reading, drawing and writing skills in record time since the material has been structured in a way that fosters the development of these skills in every learner.
